Personalize Your iPhone: A Deep Dive into Control Center Customization

 

Customizing the Control Center on your iPhone allows you to
add, remove, and rearrange the controls to suit your preferences. Here’s how
you can do it:

1. Open Settings

  • Go
    to the Settings app on your iPhone.

2. Access Control Center Settings

  • Scroll
    down and tap on Control Center.

3. Enable Access (Optional)

  • If
    you’d like to access the Control Center from apps, toggle on Access
    Within Apps
    .
  • For
    lock screen access, ensure Allow Access on Lock Screen is turned
    on.

4. Customize Controls

  • Tap
    on Customize Controls (this option may simply show available
    controls on iOS 16 or later).
  • You’ll
    see two sections:
    • Included
      Controls
      : These are the controls currently in the Control Center.
    • More
      Controls
      : These are additional options you can add.

5. Add Controls

  • Under
    More Controls, tap the + icon next to a feature you want to
    add (e.g., Flashlight, Calculator, Screen Recording).

6. Remove Controls

  • Under
    Included Controls, tap the icon next to a feature you want
    to remove. Then tap Remove to confirm.

7. Rearrange Controls

  • In
    the Included Controls section, press and hold the three
    horizontal lines
    next to a control. Drag it up or down to reorder.

8. Exit Settings

  • Once
    you’re done customizing, simply exit the Settings app. Your changes will
    be saved automatically.

9. Access the Control Center

  • Swipe
    down from the top-right corner (on iPhones with Face ID) or swipe up from
    the bottom (on iPhones with a Home button) to access your customized
    Control Center.
